Samsung will develop android notebooks very soon

Earlier reports have indicated that Google and its partners are preparing to launch Android-powered notebooks that could debut later this year. Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities notes that Samsung is just one of many companies that will launch such a product within the coming months, 9to5Google reported. The analyst warns that these “AndroidBooks” won’t be announced at Google’s upcoming I/O Developers Conference due to the delayed launch of Android 5.0, however, which is meant to help further bridge the gap between computers and smartphones.

Kuo said that Samsung will, nevertheless, launch an Android-powered notebook in the next three to four months to get a jump on the competition. Initial shipments of the computer will reportedly be limited because “the current Android OS isn’t well supported for laptops.”

In addition to upcoming AndroidBooks, the analyst believes that Google is readying an Apple TV competitor, although he doesn’t expect the device to debut at I/O due to a recent change from a Texas Instruments processor to an NVIDIA Tegra chip. Kuo also said that a Google smart watch, which will compliment the company’s Google Glass device, will enter mass production sometime next year.

Google’s I/O Developers Conference is scheduled to take place between May 15th and May 17th in San Francisco.

Noida-Greater Noida Expressway continues to attract investors, buyers and realtors owing to the infrastructure and good connectivity of the area.

Demand for residential and the commercial property on this stretch, which further connects to the 165km-long Yamuna Expressway , is increasing at a fast pace.
Residential sectors have developed on both sides of the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. The main advantage of living along this passage is the rapid access to Noida and Delhi through one side and to Greater Noidathrough the other.

Appreciating realty market

Major developers are launching large housing and township projects on this stretch, which is a good opportunity for end users and investors to grab a piece of the valuable realty pie on this expressway. Presently, mid-segment apartments are quoting at Rs 3,500-5 ,500 per square foot. Prices of apartments in the premium segment are in the range of Rs 9,000-15 ,000 per sq ft. Professionals are seeking out Noida Expressway as a good destination for investment purpose, as the area is yielding good returns, according to experts.

Infrastructure development

The Noida authority has various plans for infrastructural development on this stretch, which will further enhance the appeal of the place for end users and investors.

According to the new master plan, the recently approved Metro alignment will be developed to link Noida with Greater Noida, and later on with Yamuna Expressway. The line begins from Sector 32 and caters to residential sectors lying along the expressway.

The Noida authority has a plan to build a 3.9km Metro line between Kalindi Kunj and the Botanical Garden crossing through Noida Expressway . An additional 6.6km line is planned from Sector 32 to Sector 62. The authorities are also making arrangements to provide Ganga water to the residents of this area. Plans for infrastructure development here include a road network of over 20km, a 126MW captive power generator, and sewage treatment plants with a total capacity of 30,000 kilolitres per day.

According to the new master plan, 70% of the total area along the Noida and Yamuna Expressways will be kept for green spaces.

Also, land has also been allotted in the master plan for 40 educational institutions and retail development . Planned Export Promotion Zones, together with the Taj Economic Zone along the Yamuna Expressway , are likely to give a boost to the economic development of this region. A proposal to extend two bridges, one over the Shahdara Drain near Film City and the other before the Okhla Barrage, has been set on fast track.

Realty projects

Developing sectors like Sectors 94, 95, 96, 97, 100, 101, 110, 107, 137, 142, 143, 150, 151, and 168 along the expressway offer great scope for strong and sustained growth for all segments of the real estate.

Developers, realtors and property professionals are all upbeat about the prospects of this emerging hot location.

Jaypee Group has the biggest land bank on the expressway and it intends to develop an integrated township projects like its JP Wish Town here. Jaypee has secured a permit to develop 2,500 hectares on a 90-year lease, which is expected to consist of 1,162 acre parcels, at each of the five different locations along the Yamuna Expressway: one is in Noida, one each at Jaganpur and Mirzapur (district Gautam Budh Nagar), and one location each at Tappal (Aligarh) and Agra.
Jaypee Wish Town Greens in Sector 128 spans over five sectors. The mega integrated township has Jaypee Greens Klassic in Sector 129, Jaypee Greens Kosmos in Sector 128, Jaypee Greens Garden Isles and Jaypee Greens Kensington Park in Sector 133, and Kalypso and Pavilion Court in Sector 128.

JP's land parcels are being developed as part of gated communities offering green, lifestyle living in a self-contained township to individuals seeking an integrated living environment, vacation home or investment property.

Omaxe Group, another major player, has already completed premium luxury residential projects like Forest and NRI City along the expressway. ATS, Eldeco and Parsvnath have already delivered their projects. These projects have reported an appreciation of about 20-25 % within eight months of their launch, according to realty experts.

Anil Sharma, the CMD of Amrapali Group, says: "Noida Expressway has the space to accommodate several townships, commercial headquarters , shopping malls, worldclass theatres and other infrastructural development. Also, there are a number of tourism and entertainment projects under development in Noida. All these factors are turning Noida Expressway into an affluent and self-sufficient area, and boosting its investment profile. Property rates here, and in the surrounding areas of Noida, are on an upswing and it the right time to invest in different real estate projects here to ensure higher productivity of one's capital."

Vijay Gupta, the CMD of Orris Infrastructures, says: "With improving infrastructure and the increasing demand for affordable housing, Noida Expressway is a fit place end users and investors. For developers and builders like us, Noida has always been a focal point for most of our projects. Noida has still a huge scope for new developments , and with the Metro network expanding its domain deep inside Noida, the allure of the place is enhanced many folds."
Prashant Tiwari, the CMD of Prateek Group, says: "Noida Expressway has seen a good demand, and there is a long way to go before it is satisfied. In fact, the demand has been increasing manifold in the last few years."

Vineet Gupta, the director of Ajnara Group, says: "The accessibility of the region will accelerate land development along the Noida Expressway in a planned manner for commercial, industrial, institutional , amusement and residential purposes. Projects running on the Noida Expressway are a great investment opportunity."

ps4 pre lauch video trailer!!!---20th feb sony may lauch ps4!!

“See the future.”
With those three innocuous little words and an enigmatic trailer (above), Sony has set the stage for a potentially momentous announcement, which it promises to deliver at 6:00 PM EST on Wednesday, February 20th, 2013. There is no way to know for sure exactly what Sony has planned, but at this early stage, one point seems exceedingly clear: after this tease, if the 20th rolls around and Sony reveals anything other than the PlayStation 4, gamers are apt to be furious.

By all appearances, this is it. The countdown has started. Twenty days from today, Sony apparently intends to publicly unveil the PlayStation 4 (or Orbis, or Omni, or whatever it’s actually called) for the very first time. Curiously, this will happen not at an industry trade show (the D.I.C.E. Summit ends on February 8th,Destination PlayStation starts on February 25th, and GDC 2013, at which Valveis expected to debut Steam Box, doesn’t kick off until May 25th) and not at a press conference in a cavernous sporting arena, but online, direct to a legion of PlayStation fans who, if Sony has its way, should be whipped up into a frothing state of frenzied anticipation by the time that (potentially) fateful Wednesday finally arrives.
“Be the first to know,” Sony advises on the PlayStation Blog, and gamers who’d like to ought to head right over to the event’s registration page.
See The Future Trailer
In the interest of fairness, it has to be pointed out that revelations other than the PlayStation 4 remain a faint possibility, though given the instant enthusiasm for a February PS4 unveiling (check out the Sony-suggested “#PlayStation2013″ hashtag on Twitter), they would likely prove to be an absolute PR disaster for Sony.
In any case, Sony recently filed for a trademark on a service named “BigFest,” which is rumored to be an evolution of/replacement for the company’sPlayStation Home initiative. Could “BigFest” be worth making this much fuss over? It’s hard to imagine, but then again, without knowing anything concrete about it, how can we say?
At the same time, the aesthetics on display in the “See the future” trailer match up nicely with the current design of the Gaikai website (which, you’ll remember, was updated last October with images of PlayStation 3 franchises that have, surprisingly enough, since been removed). Could the reveal on the 20th be Gaikai related? Rolling out the service to PS3 and/or Vita right now, with a playable library of streaming PlayStation classics, or perhaps access to current retail titles, would be a newsworthy maneuver. But…
Gaikai Background
The Gaikai website’s background image.
Come on. It’s got to be PlayStation 4, right? It’s the news every gamer is waiting for, and if Sony steps up and unveils its new hardware months before Microsoftdoes the same at E3 2013 (the countdown clock currently sits at 130 days, 5 hours, 42 minutes), that could prove to be a significant tactical advantage.
In just twenty days, questions about the PlayStation 4′s hardware power, controllers and release date may have actual, real-world, confirmed answers. Will that force Microsoft to move up the reveal of Xbox 720? Will it convince on-the-fence gamers to pass on Wii U (which isn’t getting a price-cut anytime soon) and hold out for Sony’s system? What do you think?
Stay tuned, Ranters, for more on this story as it develops.

Phillips quits Consumer Electronics Industry

With a heritage and tradition of 122 years, the end couldn’t have been so abrupt. But then there it is – Phillips is exiting its Consumer Electronics business sellings it historically-core business to Japan’s Funai Electric. Phillips sold its audio, video, multimedia and accessories activities (under its subsidiary- Phillips Consumer Lifestyle) to the Japanese consumer electronics company for the almost token sum of €150 million ($201.8 million) in cash and a brand-license fee.Phillips shall pursue

Thats curtains down for one of the biggest names in Consumer ELectronics history and the largest manufacturer of lighting, globally.
Our Consumer lifestyle business was margin dilutive to the group, so it was time to decide to move away from consumer electronics. Since we have online entertainment, people do not buy Blu-ray and DVD players anymore
Frans van Houten, CEO-Phillips
In the 1930s, Philips was the world’s biggest supplier of radios. The Dutch company invented the audio cassette in 1963, made the first videocassette recorder in 1972, and launched the compact disc in 1983. But Philips struggled to make the most of its inventions, most notoriously by losing a battle for the dominant videotape standard to Japan’s VHS in the 1970s and 1980s before failing to anticipate today’s disc-free, digital-entertainment era dominated by downloaded and streamed entertainment via the Internet.Despite steadily reducing its exposure to consumer electronics over the years, exiting the television and mobile-phone segments along the way, Philips has struggled to generate sufficiently larger profits from the business.

Philips’ Q4, 2012 net loss was €358 million compared with a €162 million loss in the Q4, 2011
A year earlier, a €272 million loss on the sale of its television business pushed the group into the red.
For CY2012, Philips reported net profit of €231 million compared to CY2011 net loss of €1.29 billion on a 9.8% rise in revenue to €24.79 billion thanks to strong growth in emerging markets, which helped offset sluggish demand in Europe and North America.
In 2012, Philips health-care order intake grew 4% in the fourth quarter and comparable sales also grew 4%. At consumer lifestyle, comparable sales grew 2%, while at lighting, it was 4%.
Philips’s will now focus on the highly competitive medical equipment industry. Sales from its healthcare division generated 40% of group revenue in the fourth quarter, with consumer lifestyle contributing 26% and lighting, which was loss making before earnings, interest and tax, making up 32%. For Q4,2012, GE posted 7% growth in the medical equipments industry followed by Phillips at 4% and Siemens at -1%
